San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper came off the bench Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers following a 10-game absence due to a left calf strain.
Harper, the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, said Wednesday that while he didn't want to miss time, the team was focused on the "long run," according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News.
He sustained the injury on Nov. 2 while trying to defend a shot from the Phoenix Suns' Nick Richards.
Harper was averaging 14 points and 3.8 assists per game prior to the injury.
The Spurs are off to an 11-5 start.
