Three different hamstring injuries limited Thomas to 25 appearances during the previous campaign.
The LSU product was one of the top restricted free agents available last summer, but he eventually returned to the Nets on a one-year, $6-million qualifying offer.
Thomas was averaging 21.4 points and shooting 35.6% from deep through his first eight appearances this season.
