Mobley, Hunter join Garland on sidelines for Game 2 loss to Pacers
Cleveland Cavaliers forwards Evan Mobley and De'Andre Hunter missed Tuesday's 120-119 Game 2 defeat against the Indiana Pacers due to their respective ankle and thumb injuries.
Darius Garland also missed his fourth straight game because of a toe sprain.
The Cavs led by seven points with 1:06 left in the contest. The Pacers scored 10 points to finish the game, including a game-winning, step-back three from Tyrese Haliburton.
Cleveland started Ty Jerome, Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus, Dean Wade, and Jarrett Allen in the loss.
The Pacers were led by Myles Turner and Aaron Nesmith, who scored 23 points each. Haliburton added 19 points and nine rebounds.
Mobley and Hunter suffered their injuries during Sunday's Game 1 defeat.
Mobley was named Defensive Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season. He averaged 18.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.6 blocks over the regular season.
Hunter was acquired at the trade deadline from the Atlanta Hawks. The 27-year-old has averaged 12.6 points in the playoffs, shooting 60% from deep.
The Pacers host Game 3 on Friday.
