Cleveland Cavaliers star Darius Garland missed Saturday's 124-87 Game 3 win over the Miami Heat due to a sprained left toe.
Sam Merrill took Garland's spot in the starting lineup and went scoreless in 19 minutes of action.
It's unclear when Garland suffered the injury, but he missed a pair of regular-season contests down the stretch with the same ailment.
Cleveland went 4-3 this season with Garland sidelined.
Garland averaged 24 points and seven assists in the first two games of the series. The Cavs also scored 3.7 more points per 100 possessions when he was on the floor.
Garland was 12th in the Association in assists (6.7 per contest) during the regular season.
