Sacramento Kings star Domantas Sabonis will miss at least 10 days due to a right ankle sprain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
The reported timeline would keep Sabonis sidelined for at least six games, which include matchups against the league-leading Cleveland Cavaliers, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
Sabonis got hurt early in the third quarter of Monday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies and was promptly ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
The 28-year-old missed the previous six games due to a hamstring injury. The Kings are just 3-6 this season without him.
Sabonis is averaging 19.2 points and is on pace to capture his third straight rebounding title. He's shooting a career-high 42.5% from distance and has tallied the third-most triple-doubles (nine) this season.
The three-time All-Star has been a vital part of Sacramento's seventh-ranked offense. The Kings score 5.8 more points per 100 possessions when Sabonis is on the floor.
Sacramento sits ninth in the West with a 34-33 record, just three games clear of the 11th-place Phoenix Suns.
