Euroleague to introduce new shot clock rules
Beginning in 2014, Euroleague teams will find themselves with a little less time to shoot on offense.
According to Sportando, the 24-second shot clock will only be reset to 14 seconds after a team collects an offensive rebound.
The new rule will inevitably speed up the game a bit, and when you consider that a team doesn't need to bring the ball down the court again, 14 seconds seems like more than enough time for a team to readjust its positioning.
It should also be noted how the new rule will alter the dynamic of the final minutes of a close game, as Euroleague teams will now have less time to kill the clock if they grab a rebound while carrying a slim lead.
