Morant teases Slam Dunk contest appearance
Could next year's Slam Dunk contest feature some star power?
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant teased the possibility after watching Mac McClung of the Orlando Magic claim his third consecutive dunk contest crown.
"Mac might make me decide to dunk," Morant wrote on X.
Morant then floated the idea of competing against two-time Slam Dunk champ Zach LaVine and two-time runner-up Aaron Gordon.
"Zach and AG, wassup," Morant wrote on X.
While neither high-flyer responded, Morant did get a potential commitment from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
"If you do it, I'll do it with you," the Milwaukee Bucks superstar wrote on X.
Although McClung previously said this would be his last Slam Dunk contest, he didn't completely rule out another title defense.
"This might be it for me, but we'll see. If they want me back bad enough, I'll think about it," McClung told TNT's Allie LaForce following the competition.
