Julius Randle appears to be settling in well to life in Minnesota since arriving via trade from the New York Knicks.

The new Timberwolves big man told reporters Monday that he wasn't sure what to expect of the city initially but has been "blown away" by everything so far.

"I've been looking for homes and just going to the neighborhoods, seeing the difference. I'm just used to visiting downtown and going to (the) hotel and that's it. But just getting out, seeing the city ... the lake, everything, it's been amazing," Randle said, per Fox 9. "I really didn't know what to expect, I just knew it was cold, but it's beautiful here.

"And like I said, I'm from Texas, so I'm used to having a space and land and all those different types of things and being outdoors, activities, and all that. So you get all of that here. I've been blown away, so I'm excited to be here."

Randle was acquired by the Timberwolves as part of a three-team trade that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks.

The 29-year-old spent the last five seasons with the Knicks, averaging 22.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
