The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers are among the select teams that are expected to host Bronny James for a workout ahead of next month's NBA draft, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Doug Haller.

James has reportedly received over 10 invites but is set to visit just a few teams.

The Suns hold the No. 22 overall pick and James is one of the players they're considering with their first-round selection, add Charania and Haller.

James declared for the draft in April after just one season at USC. The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 boards, and 2.1 assists across 25 appearances for the Trojans.

James has since elevated his draft stock with a decent showing at the combine. The McDonald's All-American placed second in the 3-point star shooting drill and registered the sixth-best max vertical leap (40.5 inches).

James' agent, Rich Paul, recently confirmed rumors that he won't be signing his client to a two-way contract.

"Yes, that's absolutely true," Paul told Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes. "Teams know that. I'm not doing that."
