KD: Suns fans 'can't give up on us'
Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant is encouraging fans to stick by them as they try to dig themselves out of an 0-2 hole in their first-round playoff series.
Following the Suns' 105-93 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 on Tuesday night, Durant spoke about how important it is to have fans' support as they return home.
"They can't give up on us right now," Durant said during his postgame press conference. "Shit, we need them more than anything. I know it's been disappointing, last couple games - even the season - for our fans, but we need you more than ever now coming back home for Game 3."
Teammate Devin Booker also shared a message for Suns fans after the game.
"Don't count us out. It's a series for a reason," Booker said.
The Suns went 3-0 against the Timberwolves during the regular season, but Durant cautioned his team before Game 1 that they should be prepared for a "dogfight" in the playoffs.
Game 3 of the Suns-Timberwolves series is scheduled for Friday, followed by Game 4 on Sunday.
