Although March is college basketball's time to shine, the NBA is stuffing its slates. Tuesday and Thursday are typically quieter nights in the league, with marquee nationally televised games taking center stage, but not this week.
Tuesday features nine games and we have three bets to break down.
Kristaps Porzingis: Over 1.5 blocks
Kristaps Porzingis has been a dominant rim-protector for the Celtics and a major contributor to Boston's No. 2 defense. He averages 1.8 blocks on the season and swatted two shots per game in February.
The Celtics play the Cavs on Tuesday, which is a good matchup for Porzingis. Cleveland always has at least one big man in the game and often plays two bigs together: Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Neither can shoot, so each takes a lot of shots at the rim.
More shots at the rim against Porzingis will lead to more rejection opportunities. Porzingis recorded two blocks in his two prior meetings against the Cavs in January.

Fred VanVleet: Over 16.5 points
Fred VanVleet has been a major contributor to the Rockets' offense since returning from injury in late February. Although Houston's losing more than winning, VanVleet's consistently playing more than 35 minutes per night since the All-Star break.
VanVleet's scored at least 20 points in four of the last five games. He has a favorable matchup against the Spurs, who have the NBA's seventh-worst defense and allow the second-most points per game to point guards.

Myles Turner: Over 24.5 points and rebounds
Pascal Siakam's arrival to the Pacers hasn't diminished Myles Turner's production. Turner averaged 25.5 combined points and rebounds in February.
Turner and Tyrese Haliburton remain a dangerous pick-and-roll duo, as Turner's a threat to pop for three or roll to the rim.
The Mavericks' defense is their primary issue. Dallas allows the fifth-most points and seventh-most rebounds per game to centers. Turner scored 33 against the Mavs on Feb. 25 in a dominant Pacers win.
