After a successful five-play night Wednesday, we have two bets for Thursday's smaller slate featuring only four games. Let's get to our wagers.
Tobias Harris: Under 35.5 PRA
Tobias Harris' inconsistency drives Sixers fans crazy. He'll explode for a 30-point outing on some nights. On others, he'll fail to break 10.
Joel Embiid is out, and Tyrese Maxey will likely sit, too. Harris' usage will increase with Philadelphia's two leading scorers sidelined. But it won't matter. It's hard to trust Harris when the team relies on him more.
Harris is at his best as a spot-up player when playmakers feed him. He won't have Embiid or Maxey to create shots for him against the Jazz, and Utah's defense will also key in on him more.
Harris has recorded fewer than 36 combined points, rebounds, and assists in eight of the last 11 games.
Odds: -120 (playable to -130)
Pacers @ Knicks (-3, O/U 236.5)
Since New York acquired OG Anunoby, 14 of the Knicks' last 16 games have gone under the total. Even without Anunoby active in the previous two contests, the Knicks went under the total. He's questionable for tonight's matchup.
New York has the NBA's best defense over the last month. While the Pacers have a historically good offense, they've suffered without Tyrese Haliburton and fallen to the league's ninth-best offensive rating. Haliburton returned last week but played limited minutes. He's expected to be on a minutes restriction again Thursday.
This is the Knicks' second-highest game total since the turn of the new year, which means it's expected to be a somewhat high-scoring game. But New York's defense should have success shuttering Indiana's offense.
Pick: Under 236.5
