Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl will be out indefinitely after suffering a left ankle sprain, the team announced.

Poeltl will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

The Austrian big man sustained the injury in Sunday's victory over the Golden State Warriors but remained in the game, playing just under 31 minutes.

Poeltl is tallying 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.4 blocks per game through 36 starts in Toronto this season. He also leads the NBA in field-goal percentage at 68.5%.

The 28-year-old, who was drafted ninth overall by the Raptors in 2016, was re-acquired by the club at last season's trade deadline from the San Antonio Spurs. He averaged 13.1 points and 9.1 rebounds in the second half of the 2022-23 campaign.
