Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine and center Nikola Vucevic made their return from injury in Friday's 104-91 win over Charlotte Hornets.
LaVine played 30 minutes, dropping 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Vucevic logged 25 minutes, chipping in 11 points, boards, and three dimes.
LaVine and Vucevic, who missed 17 and five games, respectively, both came off the bench and played with a minutes restriction.
The 28-year-old LaVine had been out since Nov. 28 with inflammation in his right foot. Vucevic last played on Dec. 23 before being sidelined with a strained adductor.
In its five-game stretch without Vucevic, Chicago went 2-3, winning against the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers. The latter was a 13-point victory, albeit with reigning MVP Joel Embiid sitting out for Philadelphia. Embiid returned for the rematch three days later, recording a triple-double as the 76ers beat the Bulls by the same margin.
The Bulls put up a four-game winning streak in their first four games without LaVine, beating the Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, Hornets, and San Antonio Spurs. Without the high-flying guard, Chicago mustered an 8-4 record until losing Vucevic.
