Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson will miss at least two weeks after sustaining a right thigh contusion in Monday's 134-120 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the team announced Tuesday.
Clarkson experienced continued discomfort in his hamstring postgame and underwent an MRI, which revealed a right bicep femoris strain.
The 31-year-old was limited to 22 minutes in Monday's encounter, exiting the contest for good midway through the third quarter.
Utah acquired Clarkson from the Cleveland Cavaliers in December 2019. He quickly found a significant role as a microwave scorer off the bench.
Clarkson won Sixth Man of the Year honors in 2020-21. He moved into the Jazz's starting lineup last season and registered a career-high 20.8 points per contest.
Utah rewarded Clarkson with a two-year, $28.4-million contract extension this past summer. He's averaging 16.6 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.4 boards across 19 appearances this season.
