Nuggets @ Timberwolves under 220.5 points
The under has hit in all four of the Nuggets' games and two of the Timberwolves' three games. There's a reason for that.
The Nuggets rank fourth-to-last in pace, and the Timberwolves are seventh-to-last in that category. These teams play incredibly slow and are in no hurry to push the ball up the court.
The Timberwolves have the fewest possessions among teams that have played three games, and the Nuggets have the second-fewest among teams that have played four games. Fewer possessions means less opportunity to score.
The Nuggets are 2.5-point favorites, so it should be a close, low-scoring contest in Minnesota.

Anthony Edwards over 24.5 points
Despite Minnesota's early season struggles, Edwards is averaging 25 points, including a 31-point night in his last showing.
In last year's five-game first-round series against the Nuggets, Edwards averaged 31.6 points. Whether Karl-Anthony Towns wants to admit it or not, this is Edwards' team.
He has the talent to go toe-to-toe with just about any guard in the league. Edwards just needs to do it consistently for Minnesota to reach its potential. He should replicate some of that playoff success tonight.

Fred VanVleet over 18.5 points
The Rockets (0-3) are desperate for a win, and a favorable contest against the Hornets is exactly what they need.
While Houston is a young squad in a developmental stage, the team signed VanVleet and Dillon Brooks this offseason to accelerate its timeline.
VanVleet may not be the most important player or the future of the franchise, but he's the most experienced and best scorer on the team. Houston needs more out of him to win games. He's attempting the second-most shots on the team but struggling to score at a consistent rate. He's shooting 37% from the field.
This is the perfect matchup against Charlotte's feeble perimeter defenders to make a splash and get on the right track.

Grizzlies (+2) @ Jazz
The Grizzlies are off to a nightmarish start as superstar Ja Morant serves his 25-game suspension. Memphis' defense has been solid, but its offensive production has been abysmal. Relying on Desmond Bane, Marcus Smart, and Jaren Jackson Jr. as primary options isn't a recipe for success.
The Grizzlies are 0-4 and in desperate need of their first win to turn their season around. If they fall too far behind in the first 25 games, not even Morant's heroics will revive Memphis' sinking ship.
Luckily for them, the Grizzlies have a matchup against the struggling Jazz on Wednesday night. While the Grizzlies have a bottom-tier offense, the Jazz have the worst defensive rating in the NBA. It's the perfect matchup for Memphis to find a rhythm and pick up its first win of the season.
