Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to work on jump shot with Mark Price
The Charlotte Bobcats have hired Mark Price to help Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with his jump shot, according to Grantland.com.
Kidd-Gilchrist struggled with his shooting during his rookie year, shooting 29.0 percent from 16-23 feet and 8.7 percent from 10-15 feet.
While the team wants him to focus on his strengths - defense, cutting, and crashing the offensive glass - they're also interested in his long-term development and want him to improve in all aspects of his game. Price was known as one of the game's most consistent shooters, and the team is hoping that some of that will rub off on their young forward.
The 19-year old was drafted second overall by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2012 NBA Draft, but was seen by many as a consolation project after missing out on top pick Anthony Davis.
