Report: Clippers trying to add draft capital for potential Harden deal

The Los Angeles Clippers have spoken with several teams about moving pick swaps in exchange for additional draft capital to be used in a potential trade for James Harden, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania and Sam Amick.

The Clippers reportedly offered the Philadelphia 76ers an unprotected first-round selection, a pick swap, and salaries for Harden in July.

Philadelphia apparently covets forward Terance Mann and multiple first-rounders in a hypothetical deal for the 10-time All-Star.

Los Angeles selected Mann with the No. 48 overall pick in 2019. The Florida State product has averaged eight points and shot 38.3% from deep over four seasons with the club.

Harden's desire to play for the Clippers is said to be as "strong as ever," and he remains hopeful a trade can be worked out, adds Charania and Amick.

Harden reported to 76ers training camp Wednesday after missing the first day of team activities. Head coach Nick Nurse and forward Tobias Harris both spoke positively of Harden's presence.
