The Minnesota Timberwolves signed center Naz Reid to a three-year, $42-million deal with a player option, his agents told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 23-year-old was set to hit free agency for the first time in his career.
Reid is coming off his best NBA campaign, averaging 11.5 points, 4.9 boards, and 1.1 assists over 68 appearances in 2022-23. He made 77% of his field-goal attempts at the rim, which ranked in the 83rd percentile among big men, per Cleaning the Glass.
Reid has developed into a respectable floor-spacing threat since entering the Association as an undrafted center, drilling 34.4% of his 3-point attempts over four seasons.
