Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is aiming to return from a broken hand for Game 3 of the Finals against the Denver Nuggets, sources told TNT's Chris Haynes.

"I'm trying to come back as soon as possible," Herro told Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Herro played in the Heat's postseason opener but has missed their 17 games since. He appeared to sustain the injury in the second quarter of that April 16 contest against the Milwaukee Bucks while attempting to corral a loose ball.

The former Sixth Man of the Year registered 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game during the regular season and led the league in free-throw percentage at 93.4%.

Veteran forward Kevin Love has been Herro's most frequent replacement in the starting lineup, though other role players have contributed, including Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin; the latter averaged 19.3 points and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 48.9% from deep in the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics.
