Draymond Green can hit free agency this summer if he declines his $27.6-million player option for next season.

However, if the former Defensive Player of the Year has his way, he'll be staying with the Golden State Warriors well beyond the upcoming campaign.

"I want to be a Warrior for the rest of my life," Green said Friday after Golden State's 122-101 season-ending loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, per NBCS. "I want to ride out with the same dudes I rode in with."

The Warriors intend to discuss a new multi-year contract with Green whether he opts in or not, sources told The Athletic's Anthony Slater and Shams Charania.

Green's future with the Bay Area club isn't the only one in doubt, as president of basketball operations and general manager Bob Myers will be without a deal as of June 30.

Myers was hired as Golden State's assistant general manager in 2011 after serving as a player agent for 14 years. He was promoted 12 months later and has been the architect of the Warriors' four championship runs.

Green is concerned about Myers' status with the team and says it could influence his own decision this summer, according to Andscape's Marc J. Spears.
