Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins has been cleared to play in Saturday's first-round series opener against the Sacramento Kings, sources told The Athletic's Anthony Slater and Shams Charania.
The Warriors are reportedly considering bringing the forward off the bench and restricting him to around 20-25 minutes.
Wiggins missed the last two months of the regular season tending to a personal family matter and hasn't played since Feb. 13.
The 28-year-old played fewer than 25 minutes in just two of his games this season.
Wiggins was one of the Warriors' best two-way performers during their 2022 championship run. The former Rookie of the Year averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and one steal and block apiece through 22 postseason games last year. He was frequently tasked with shutting down opposing scoring threats, including Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum.
