Report: Pelicans' Murphy invited to Slam Dunk Contest
New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy has been invited to the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, sources told ESPN's Andrew Lopez.
Murphy completes the field, joining Houston Rockets forward KJ Martin, Portland Trail Blazers rookie Shaedon Sharpe, and G League guard Mac McClung in the event.
The 22-year-old has unleashed a variety of highlight-reel dunks so far this season.

The Pelicans drafted Murphy 17th overall in the 2021 draft. The second-year wing is averaging 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and a steal this season for New Orleans.
The NBA All-Star Weekend is from Feb. 17-19, with the event taking place on the 18th.
