Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant was sidelined for Wednesday's Rivals Week matchup against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, but that didn't stop the two from throwing jabs at each other.

Durant kicked off his social media exchange with Embiid by ripping the latter's crotch-chop celebration following a 3-point play.

Embiid responded with a custom video featuring footage of him, Durant, and WWE's D-Generation X, the group that popularized the crotch chop.

As Embiid settled in for his postgame press conference with the media, he couldn't help but admire his work.

Philadelphia improved to 2-0 this season against Brooklyn with Wednesday's 137-133 victory. The two teams will square off again Feb. 11 at the Barclays Center.

Durant, who has missed the past seven games due to an MCL sprain, is itching to be on the court for their next meeting.
