San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee next week, the team announced Thursday, according to Tom Orsborn of The San Antonio Express-News.

The ailment forced Vassell to miss three of the Spurs' last four contests.

The team will provide updates on his status "as appropriate."

San Antonio selected Vassell 11th overall in the 2020 draft. The Florida State product has been a bright spot amid another tough campaign for the club, averaging a career-high 19.4 points, 4.0 boards, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals across 29 appearances.

Four-year guard Romeo Langford has started in Vassell's place during the latter's recent absence. Langford registered a career-high 23 points on 11-of-16 shooting against the New York Knicks last week.

The Spurs currently sit second-last in the West with a 12-26 record.
