Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs came off the bench during Thursday's 123-115 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies after a 19-game absence.

He had just two points on 1-of-4 shooting in five minutes of play.

Suggs hadn't played since Nov. 25 due to right ankle soreness. He had surgery on the same ankle this past offseason.

Orlando selected Suggs fifth overall in the 2021 draft. The Gonzaga product entered the contest averaging 12.4 points, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 steals over 14 appearances this season.

Former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz has been the Magic's starting point guard during Suggs' extended absence.

Orlando sits 13th in the East with a 14-25 record, just 3.5 games back of the final play-in tournament berth.
