San Antonio Spurs rookie Jeremy Sochan apologized Sunday on Twitter after associating Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook with the word "bricks."
Sochan was playing a word association game with fellow Spurs rookie Malachi Branham when he roasted the nine-time All-Star. Branham used Westbrook's name as a clue to get Sochan to guess the word "triple-double," but the Baylor product went in a different direction.

Sochan responded to the video, saying he was "not intending on being disrespectful." He added that he idolized Westbrook growing up and shared photos of himself wearing a Thunder jersey and his dog Russell, named after Westbrook.

Westbrook particularly struggled shooting the ball in his first season in Los Angeles in 2021-22, hitting just 29.8% of his 3-pointers.
The 33-year-old said in March that he and his family experienced harassment throughout the campaign, with many fans using the moniker "Westbrick."
