"I heard this the hardest cover they done did," Booker said shortly after.
The three-time All-Star joins NBA legend Michael Jordan and WNBA greats Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird as cover athletes for the various versions of the game's newest edition.
Booker inked a four-year, $224-million super-max contract extension at the start of free agency after making the All-NBA first team this past season. He averaged 26.8 points, five rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in 68 games.
Last year, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic graced the cover of the standard edition, while Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant and NBA legends Dirk Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were pictured on the NBA 75th anniversary edition. Chicago Sky forward Candace Parker was on the WNBA 25th anniversary edition.
NBA 2K23 will be released Sept. 9 with the game being available for preorder July 7.
