The Sacramento Kings are signing guard Malik Monk to a two-year, $19-million contract, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

After four seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, Monk headed to the Los Angeles Lakers on a bargain deal last summer and impressed in Hollywood, dropping 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. The 24-year-old also jumped in and out of the starting lineup, starting 37 of his 76 appearances while giving the Lakers a threat from outside as a 39.1% shooter.

Monk will likely provide depth in Sacramento behind former ninth overall pick Davion Mitchell in the Kings' backcourt.
