The Denver Nuggets plan to sign center DeMarcus Cousins for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Cousins' latest 10-day contract with the club expired over the weekend. The veteran big man began the season with the Milwaukee Bucks before recently reuniting with Michael Malone, his former head coach, in Denver.
The Kentucky product has mostly served as a backup, averaging 8.1 points, 5.9 boards, and 1.1 assists over 25 appearances between both clubs.
Denver is sixth in the Western Conference entering the second half of the season.
