Portland Trail Blazers forward Nassir Little is out indefinitely after an MRI revealed a left shoulder labral tear, the team announced Thursday.

He'll likely miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Little sustained the injury late in Tuesday's contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves and wasn't in the lineup for Wednesday's affair versus the Dallas Mavericks.

The former first-round pick was making strides in his third NBA campaign. Since entering Portland's starting lineup on Dec. 8, Little is averaging 11.2 points, 5.9 boards, and 1.1 blocks over 21 appearances.

The Blazers are already without star guard Damian Lillard, Larry Nance, Robert Covington, and backup center Cody Zeller.

Portland is 20-28 and currently occupies the West's final play-in tournament spot.
