Golden State Warriors center James Wiseman appears to have suffered a setback in his injury rehab.
The former No. 2 pick underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in December, eight months after his initial meniscus surgery, sources told The Athletic's Anthony Slater.
Wiseman was cleared for team practices on Nov. 1 and appeared on track to make his return. However, he needed a scope and cleanup to flush out some loose bodies in his knee mid-December, according to Slater.
There remains no timetable for Wiseman's return.
The 20-year-old's rookie campaign ended early after he tore his right meniscus last April. Wiseman showed glimpses of his potential, averaging 11.5 points, 5.8 boards, and 0.9 blocks over 39 appearances in 2020-21.
Kevon Looney has started at the 5 in Wiseman's absence.
