Harden, CP3, 1st-timers Garland, VanVleet highlight NBA All-Star reserves
The NBA announced the All-Star reserves on Thursday, led by mainstays James Harden and Chris Paul and first-timers Darius Garland and Fred VanVleet, as voted on by the league's coaches.

During the unveiling of the reserves, Green announced that his current back injury would prevent him from participating in the game itself, which will take place Feb. 20 in Cleveland.
The All-Star starters were announced on Jan. 27.
As captains for the second consecutive year, LeBron James and Kevin Durant will first alternate selections among the pool of starters, which includes Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Trae Young, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Jokic, Andrew Wiggins, Stephen Curry, and Ja Morant. James will pick first as he was the leading vote-getter among all players.
The All-Star draft will be televised Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m. ET on TNT.
