Veteran guard Thomas signs with Nuggets' G League affiliate
Veteran free-agent guard Isaiah Thomas has finally found a home.
The 32-year-old agreed to a deal with the Denver Nuggets' G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold, the league announced. He'll be coached by friend and former 19-year NBA veteran Jason Terry.
Thomas, a two-time NBA All-Star and an All-NBA second-team selection in 2017, made three appearances with the New Orleans Pelicans while on a 10-day contract last season.
He featured just 87 times across the past four seasons, partly due to a lingering hip injury.
The Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Golden State Warriors were among the other teams Thomas auditioned for over the summer.
Thomas will make his Grand Rapids debut on Wednesday against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants as part of the G League's Winter Showcase in Las Vegas from Dec. 19-22.
