The Chicago Bulls will be without center Nikola Vucevic for multiple games after the two-time All-Star entered the league's health and safety protocols, the team announced Thursday, according to NBC Sports' K.C. Johnson.

Vucevic has appeared in all 11 of Chicago's games thus far and is averaging 13.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists for the Eastern Conference co-leaders.

The 10-year NBA veteran guarded Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid during two games over a four-day span last week before Embiid was forced to enter league protocols after reportedly contracting COVID-19.

His absence leaves Bulls bench boss Billy Donovan with a threadbare frontcourt. Second-year power forward Patrick Williams was ruled out for the remainder of the regular season in late October due to a dislocated wrist.

Chicago begins its five-game West Coast road trip on Friday with a matchup against the 10-1 Golden State Warriors.
