Report: LaVine has ligament tear in non-shooting hand, won't miss time

Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has a small ligament tear in the thumb of his non-shooting left hand, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

With the Bulls undefeated through four games, LaVine reportedly intends to play through his injury.

LaVine, 26, has continued to stuff the boxscore in 2021-22 after earning his first All-Star selection last season. Playing just under 34 minutes per game, he's averaged 25.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, with 44.4% shooting on 3-pointers.

After a breezy opening week featuring two games against the listless Detroit Pistons, the new-look Bulls will play 12 of their next 13 games against teams that made last year's postseason.
