The San Antonio Spurs are releasing forward Chandler Hutchison, sources told Fred Katz of The Athletic.
Hutchison's salary was guaranteed for $4 million in 2021-22, according to Katz. He would have been eligible to receive a qualifying offer of $5.3 million in 2022-23, courtesy of Spotrac.
San Antonio acquired the 25-year-old in the five-team trade centered around Russell Westbrook and Spencer Dinwiddie joining the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards, respectively.
Hutchison was drafted 22nd overall in 2018 by the Chicago Bulls and spent two-and-a-half seasons with the franchise. He was traded in March to the Wizards, where he played 18 games and averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 rebounds while playing 15.7 minutes per contest.
