The Milwaukee Bucks acquired Grayson Allen from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Sam Merrill and two future second-round draft picks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Milwaukee used its $4.9-million trade exception to acquire Allen, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks. The ex-Duke star is entering the final year of his rookie deal but is eligible for a rookie extension.
Allen averaged a career-high 10.6 points, 3.2 boards, and 2.2 assists over 50 appearances last season.
The 25-year-old gives the Bucks another sharpshooter off the bench after Bryn Forbes departed in free agency. Allen shot 39.1% on 5.5 triples per game and is a career 38.1% shooter from deep.
Merrill played sparingly during his rookie season in Milwaukee. He averaged three points in 7.8 minutes of action across 30 appearances in 2020-21. Merrill's salary for next season becomes fully guaranteed if he isn't waived by Aug. 8.
