Jazz reach deal with Whiteside
Free-agent center Hassan Whiteside agreed to a deal with the Utah Jazz, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A two-time blocks champion, Whiteside spent this past season with the Sacramento Kings, averaging 8.1 points, six rebounds, and 1.3 rejections across 36 games.
The Kings may have signaled their intention to move on from the 32-year-old over the last week. After reportedly acquiring big man Tristan Thompson from the Boston Celtics in a three-team trade, Sacramento reached an agreement to re-sign starting center Richaun Holmes on a reported $55-million contract Monday and added Alex Len through free agency. The franchise also drafted Portuguese center Neemias Queta from Utah State in the second round.
