Dyson Daniels, a potential lottery pick in next year's NBA draft, has signed with the NBA's G League Ignite, he told ESPN's Jonathan Givony on Sunday.

The 18-year-old joins five-star recruits Jaden Hardy, Michael Foster, and Scoot Henderson on the Ignite's 2021-22 squad.

Daniels, who hails from Australia, is the second international prospect to commit to the developmental team for next season. Chinese teenager Fanbo Zeng reportedly decommitted from Gonzaga last April in favor of the Ignite.

"I feel that this is the best pathway for me to get to my ultimate goal: the NBA," Daniels said. "It has every resource I need in really good development, a great coaching staff, and great competition to go against every day."

Daniels is ESPN's 18th-ranked prospect in the 2022 draft class. The 6-foot-6 guard is expected to lead Australia at next month's FIBA U19 World Cup tournament in Latvia.

The Ignite features NBA veterans and some of the top high school prospects worldwide. Projected top-five 2021 draft picks Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga headline the team's inaugural roster.
