The Los Angeles Lakers officially ruled out big man Anthony Davis for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Phoenix Suns due to a groin strain.

Markieff Morris started in his place.

Davis, initially listed as questionable, was a game-time decision after tweaking his groin in Sunday's Game 4 loss. The Lakers forward was on the court pregame Tuesday appearing to get loose before he was ultimately held out.

Davis sustained the injury when he fell awkwardly on a layup attempt in the second quarter Sunday.

Davis, 28, is averaging 21.8 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 34.6 minutes per game in the series.
