Drummond exits Lakers debut early with toe injury

Andre Drummond's first game with the Los Angeles Lakers ended early after the veteran center was forced to leave Wednesday's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks due to a right big toe contusion, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

X-rays taken at the arena on Drummond's toe came back negative, McMenamin reports.

The 27-year-old exited the game with 7:55 left in the third quarter after recording four points, one rebound, and two assists in 14 minutes of action.

Drummond said postgame that his "whole toenail was gone" after Brook Lopez stepped on his foot during the first quarter, according to McMenamin.

The two-time All-Star center signed with the Lakers on Saturday after being bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
