Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was ejected midway through the third quarter of Tuesday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers when he picked up a quick pair of technical fouls.
Booker was assessed his first technical shortly after teammate Deandre Ayton was whistled for a personal foul on LeBron James. The All-Star guard then passed the ball to an official and was subsequently given his second technical foul.

Referee Marc Davis provided an explanation for Booker's ejection following the game.
"Booker received his first technical foul for continuous complaining and then he received his second technical foul, and as per rule was rejected, for directing profane language at a game official," Davis said.
The ejection sparked outrage from some former players on social media.

Booker finished with 17 points, six assists, three boards, and three steals in 24 minutes of play.
The Suns wound up defeating the Lakers, 114-104.
