The New Orleans Pelicans have narrowed potential trade destinations for JJ Redick to three contending Eastern Conference heavyweights, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics have all reportedly expressed interest in the 36-year-old sharpshooter, who's become disposable on Stan Van Gundy's Pelicans.

Redick, whose $13.1-million annual deal with New Orleans expires at the end of the season, has been DNP-coach's decision in each of the team's last two games as Van Gundy seeks more minutes for young backcourt pairing Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Kira Lewis.

Redick's family currently resides in Brooklyn and is understood to prefer a return to the Northeast. The Duke product previously enjoyed a two-year spell with the 76ers before joining the Pelicans in July 2019.

Both Redick and upcoming free agent Lonzo Ball have been the subject of trade speculation ahead of the first of two NBA trade deadlines on Feb. 2. Players moved prior to the cutoff can still be included in a multi-player deal at the March 25 trade deadline.
