NBA postpones 5th straight Wizards game
Wednesday's Washington Wizards-Charlotte Hornets matchup has been postponed in accordance with the NBA's health and safety protocols, the league announced Monday.
The NBA has called off the Wizards' last five contests.
Washington won't be able to dress the mandated minimum of eight players for Wednesday's game due to ongoing contact tracing within the organization.
Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard recently confirmed that six players on his team tested positive for COVID-19, while another three are going through the health and safety protocols.
It was reported later Monday that a seventh player and one staff member had also tested positive, sources told the Washington Post's Ava Wallace.
Washington last played on Jan. 11 against the Phoenix Suns.
