Report: Lakers loss fuels Harden's trade demands
James Harden's days with the Houston Rockets are numbered.
Houston's 120-102 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday reinforced the former MVP's desire for a trade, The Athletic's Kelly Iko reports.
Harden knows the Rockets' current roster can't beat the defending champs in a seven-game playoff series and wants to maximize his competitive window, a source told Iko.
While the All-Star guard has Brooklyn atop his list of potential destinations, other contenders are reportedly still in the mix.
The Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Toronto Raptors are among the teams linked to the three-time NBA scoring champ.
Harden didn't mince words after another loss to the Lakers on Tuesday, stating the Rockets "can't be fixed."
The 31-year-old is averaging 24.8 points and 10.4 assists over eight appearances this season.
