The Atlanta Hawks will keep forward Danilo Gallinari sidelined for at least another two weeks after an MRI on Saturday confirmed a right ankle sprain, the team announced.
Gallinari suffered the injury Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets, forcing him to exit that game after just three minutes of action. The 32-year-old did not play in Friday's rematch.
The Italian forward joined the Hawks this past offseason from the Oklahoma City Thunder as part of a sign-and-trade, reportedly inking a three-year, $61.5-million deal with Atlanta.
Gallinari is averaging nine points and 2.5 rebounds in two games this season after scoring 18.7 points per game on 40.5% 3-point shooting last year with the Thunder.
