Raptors unveil new uniform while confirming VanVleet re-signing
The Toronto Raptors surprised fans with some new threads Tuesday as they confirmed they're bringing back a key piece.
In announcing that the team has re-signed star Fred VanVleet, the Raptors used a graphic displaying the star guard in a completely new, black-and-gold jersey for the upcoming season.

No other details about the new uniform were provided, but it was not one of the three unveiled by the club in October. It's likely to be Toronto's City Edition jersey for the 2020-21 campaign, as the team has donned similar black-and-gold motifs for that alternate in recent years.
The Raptors are believed to have one more jersey to reveal for 2020-21. It's expected to be their Classic Edition, which usually pays homage to a previous uniform in a team's history. In Toronto's unveiling of its three primary threads last month, the final, unseen jersey was lit in purple, suggesting the team will again use its former main color next season.
