The Denver Nuggets and forward Paul Millsap agreed on a 1-year, $10-million contract for next season, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The 35-year-old has been a key contributor for Denver since signing a three-year deal with the franchise in 2017. He averaged 11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists last season while shooting 43.5% from distance and helped the Nuggets reach the conference finals for the first time since 2009.
Millsap garnered interest as a free agent from over half the teams in the league, Charania reports. The Boston Celtics reportedly developed a strong interest in the veteran in recent days but Millsap did not want to move his family from Denver, sources told Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe.
