Giannis ruled out vs. Raptors following oral surgery
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play in Monday's game against the Toronto Raptors following oral surgery.
Antetokounmpo was listed as probable in an earlier injury report, though that report noted he was dealing with a toothache.
The Raptors will be without a few standouts of their own for Monday's tilt. Kyle Lowry is listed as questionable with lower back soreness, while Fred VanVleet and Serge Ibaka are both out with right knee concerns, head coach Nick Nurse said Monday, according to The Canadian Press' Lori Ewing.
Though the matchup is a potential preview of the Eastern Conference finals - and a rematch of last year's edition - neither side has much to play for at this point. The Bucks and Raptors have already secured the East's first and second playoff seeds, respectively. Milwaukee will face the Orlando Magic in the opening round, while Toronto will take on the Brooklyn Nets.
